| With over 300 days of sunshine a year and terrain
ranging from below sea level valleys to rugged snow covered peaks, Arizona
enjoys a unique diversity in climate and surrounds. For the most part
the southern part of the state has a desert landscape dotted with small
mountain chains. These flat desert scenes give way to rolling grasslands
which in turn give way to the peaked mountain of northern Arizona. The far north and western edges of
the state host the Colorado River and is home to some unique red rock
canyons and the northeastern part of the state boasts unparalleled rock formations and vistas. To view weather charts for Arizona, click on an elevation button above. |
