For fun in the great outdoors, there’s always a lot to do at the Phoenix Zoo! Located in Phoenix’s beautiful Papago Park, the Zoo is home to more than 1,300 animals, including 200 endangered or threatened birds, mammals and reptiles from around the world. Enjoy our breathtaking African Savannah, which hosts multiple animals in one grand exhibit. Visit a tropical rainforest, listen to a Keeper Talk on our elephants and check out the Arizona Trail for a taste of desert plants and animals.

In addition to our many animal exhibits, the Zoo has unique nature play areas, including our newest addition, the Enchanted Forest, and our Leapin’ Lagoon water sprayground. Visitors to the Zoo can bring their bikes, or rent bikes and boats and explore the Zoo in an all-new way. For an up close animal experience, stay tuned for our new animal exhibits, the Wallaby Walkabout and Monkeys of the Rainforest, opening in November 2003 and January 2004.

The Zoo also offers exciting nature programs and camps, as well as special events. Our spectacular surroundings make it an ideal setting for professional meetings, memorable dinner/receptions, weddings and more, in any of ten unique venues from indoor elegance to outdoor themed occasions.

The Phoenix Zoo is open every day, rain or shine, except December 25. For more information, visit the our website at www.phoenixzoo.org
