| MORE THAN JUST SKIING Arizona Snowbowl is a four-season playground. The Snowbowl is known for skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, skijoring and snowshoeing during the winter months, but more is available when the days are long and the snow is gone. During the summer and fall, the Arizona Snowbowl offers refreshing temperatures - 30 to 40 degrees cooler than most of the Arizona deserts - beautiful wildflowers and colorful scenery. For over 25 years, the Snowbowl has been transporting families on a journey to 11,500 feet for panoramic views of northern Arizona, including the Grand Canyon. The Summer Scenic Skyride carries adventurers who love to explore, hike and enjoy the great outdoors to the top of this extinct volcano. The ride makes for an easy afternoon activity enjoyable for all ages - the perfect escape for the entire family. The Skyride operates daily from 10 AM to 4 PM, Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, then Friday, Saturday and Sunday until mid-October. During the summer, guests can also take advantage of horseback riding on the flanks of the San Francisco Peaks, the highest mountains in Arizona and a sacred area to several Native American Indian tribes. The Snowbowl wranglers, from M Diamond Ranch, will show riders a great time in the Arizona sunshine as they are guided through the forest on a friendly horse. The Arizona Snowbowl offers cozy accommodations at the Ski Lift Lodge & Cabins for those that want to sleep in the cool pines, away from the hustle and bustle of Flagstaff and free from train noise. The cabins are located at the base of the San Francisco Peaks and are just a few minutes from beautiful Flagstaff, at the bottom of Snowbowl Rd. on Hwy. 180. Guests can take advantage of special package rates which include tickets for the Skyride and vouchers for breakfast and dinner. The Lodge can also be your base for enjoying your National Forest. From hiking, biking, to local attractions and adventures, there are many ways for you to enjoy nature’s splendor. Throughout the year, Arizona Snowbowl provides
guests with fun, outdoor activities that they can enjoy with their families,
friends and for any special event. For more information, please visit
