| Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch, set amidst flowering cactus, breathtaking sunsets and framed against the majestic McDowell Mountains, features 500 luxuriously appointed guestrooms, suites and casitas. Recreational amenities include a 2 ½ acre water playground with pools, sand beach and three story water slide, 27 holes of championship golf, Spa Avania, tennis, bicycles and jogging and cycling trails. Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa's “Experiential Vacations,” which include Camp Hyatt Kachina, for children ages 3-5 and 6-12, Family Camp and Four Worlds adult programs, offer guests of all ages an opportunity to experience the rich cultural history and beauty of the Sonoran Southwest. Each program is designed around the flora, fauna, history and geography of the area. Unique to Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort is the Native American and Environmental Learning Center, showcasing some of the most highly recognized Native American artisans who share their art, vision and traditional knowledge and teachings. Our Native Heritage Seed Garden was developed to represent the traditional life-way of Native cultures and serves as an extension of our continued conservation efforts. Guests can tour the Native American Sculpture and Mineral Garden or “dig” for treasures in the resort's “Lost Dutchman Mine”. In addition, we offer four distinctively different restaurants. Vu, a new vision in Culinary Arts. Simplifying the elements of taste and technique Vu returns to the true craft of cooking. This vibrant restaurant features contemporary steak and seafood overlooking the beauty of a lagoon and surrounded by lush gardens. Featuring designer martinis and unique wines. Ristorante Sandolo , our casual Italian bistro, often considered "the next best thing to being there," brings a touch of Venice to the desert. This informal 80-seat indoor/outdoor cafe is tucked behind the Squash Blossom restaurant overlooking the "Water Playground". It features Southern Italian cuisine presented in a fun and relaxed setting. Open for dinner, Sandolo has such Italian specialties as appetizers--Calamari Fritti , Minestrone and Pasta e Fagioli Soups; entrées--Fettucini Alfredo, Lasagne, Cannelloni Ripieni di Carne, Seared Chilean Sea Bass, Osso Buco Milanese and Vitello con Fungo (all entrées are served with a chopped Italian salad); desserts—Warm Chocolate Torte with Caramel Ganache, Sandolino, Panna Cotta and Tiramisu. Weekly specials are also offered. Lakeside, Sandolo offers guests complimentary rides in a Sandoli Veneziane (Venetian Sandoli), Venetian gondola-style boat. As guests cruise the resort's waterway, they are serenaded by a singing sandolier. Those who desire Southwestern fare need look no further than Squash Blossom, open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Poolside, the "Water Garden" features paninis, sandwiches and salads.
