Pinetop-Lakeside, located at an elevation of 7,200 feet amid the world’s largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in eastern Arizona’s White Mountains, is known for its clean air, clear skies, acres of green and refreshing lakes and streams. In addition to a variety of outdoor amenities, including fishing, golf, hiking, hunting, mountain biking and more, the mountain community has a variety of activities to entertain any visitor.

At the center of town is Woodland Lake and the surrounding Woodland Lake Park. The park features such amenities as a 1¼-mile, wheelchair-accessible, paved loop, fishing pier, boat launching ramp, restrooms, ramadas, grills, softball fields and volleyball and tennis courts. The park also serves as the hub of the 200-mile White Mountain TrailSystem. The TrailSystem is accessible to hikers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, campers and, providing there’s snow, cross-country skiers.

Festivals anchor the town’s summer activity schedule. Tribal members from throughout the Southwest meet at the White Mountain Native American Art Festival in July to perform, demonstrate, display and sell their crafts. In August, the White Mountain Bluegrass Festival features bands from throughout the Southwest. The town bids farewell to summer each September at the annual Pinetop-Lakeside Fall Festival with activities including the Run to the Pines Car Show, entertainment, antique show and sale, arts and crafts and more.

Shopping is always an adventure in Pinetop-Lakeside. The town is home to a variety of antique stores and unique gift shops. Accommodations in this resort community range from rustic cabins and quaint bed and breakfasts to modern motels and condominiums.

Whether you seek adventure or prefer a relaxing day in the mountain air, Pinetop-Lakeside and the surrounding White Mountains communities are the place to be.
