Pinetop-Lakeside, located at an elevation of 7,200 feet amid the world’s largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in eastern Arizona’s White Mountains, is known for its clean air, clear skies, acres of green and refreshing lakes and streams. Tribal members from throughout the Southwest meet at the White Mountain Native American Art Festival in July to perform, demonstrate, display and sell their crafts. In August, the White Mountain Bluegrass Festival features bands from throughout the Southwest. The town bids farewell to summer each September at the annual Pinetop-Lakeside Fall Festival with activities including the Run to the Pines Car Show, entertainment, antique show and sale, arts and crafts and more.
